As per the design of Sesame Street app, once you Deregister from the Sesame Street ebooks iPad app, the eBooks downloaded to the "MY BOOKSHELF" will be removed from it.

Hence, we would suggest you not to Logout/Deregister from iPad app in order to avoid downloading the eBook multiple times when you login.
